a woman bought two parcels of toffees, the same number in each parcel. the first she bought at 25 p each but the second at 3 for 65p. she mixed then all together and sold them at rs. 3.50. a dozen. find her gain percent.

Let the number of toffees in a parcel is x..
CP of first parcel =25x
CP of 2nd parcel =65/3*x=65x/3
Total CP=25x+65x/3=140x/3
She misxed the toffees and sold it at 3.50 a dozen.
So SP=350/12*(2x)=175x/3
Profit =sp=-CP=35x/3
Profit%=(35x/3)/(140x/3)*100=25%
