I tried using one of your solvers for the following problem and it gave me an error and said solution not found so if you could help that would be great!

Find the solution of the system

y = x^2 + 5

and

y = 2x + 4

How do i do this? I understand the basic idea, I just don't know how to get the answer. cou Ok i have to solve for x in this equation:
x^2 + (x+7)^2 = 13^2

this is my work but its wrong:
2x^2 + 49 = 169
2x^2 - 120 = 0
square root of (0- 4*-120*2) over 4

please help
