• first measure 1kg rice by 1 kg weight
  then use this 2kg (1kg rice+ 1 kg weight) to measure 2kg rice
  
  now combine this to get 3kg rice + 1 kg weight to measure 4 kg rice
  
  add this newly measure 4kg + 3kg + 1kg weight to measure 8 kg
  
  add this 8kg+ 4kg + 3kg + 1kg weight to measure 16 kg rice
  
  now combining all u get 31 kg rice + 1 kg weight
  
  so the answer is c. 5
