- Ans. the sum is divided in the ratio 6:2:3
Sol. let the sum is divided in three parts as x,y and z
such that x+y+z=5500 (i)
Then is per given condition
.x=.3y=.2z (ii)
from (i) and (ii) we get
3y+y+1.5y = 5500
=> y= 1000
Thus the amount is divided in three parts
as 3000,1000 and 1500 which gives ratio as 6:2:3
