- in the ques, H+1=E and T+1=H ==> H+1 Must give a carry so that T+1 comes. so H can be 9 then T=8
9+1 =10 ==> E=0
s+s=E ==> S=5
and I+I=10+R so I must be more than 4. there fore, 6,7 are possible(becoz- we already assigned 5,8,9)
let I be 7 ==> 7+7+1(carry)=15. we are getting R as 5. so 7 is not posibble.
next remaining is 6 ==> 6+6+1=13 --- correct

Therefore T*E+I*R-H*S = 8*0*7*4 - 9*5 = -45

- Let the question be transformed as : T H I S + IS = HERE.
It is obvious that
T+1=H..........(eq 1) and
H+1=E..........(eq 2)
So, maximum value of H must be 9 in order to generate a carry of 1.
If H is 9 then E must be 0........(from eq 2) and there is carry of 1.
So, we get value of T as 8........(from eq 1).
Since, E=0 then S must be 5 to make S+S=10 and the carry is shifted to ten's place.
Therefore, 1 + I + I = R
(we are left with values 1,2,3,4,6,7)
Just try selecting values which satisfy above eq
Best value for I is 6 which gives R as 3.

STEP 1 :here starting addition of numbers from right side 5+5=10 ,1 go carry then 6+6=12 plus carry 1 gives 13 then again 1 go carry then 9 plus carry 1 gives 10,...atlast again carry 1 plus 8 gives 9 ,....so the value of HERE is 9030,....

It is the combination of addition,multiplication,subtraction,...so we use BODMAS theorem,..which means giving priority to them in this sequence bracket,order of square roots,..Division,Multiplication,Addition and Subtraction,.....
