A and B came back home after their exam and their father asked them about the test.

A replied-- 1/3rd of my answers were wrong

B replied-- 5 of my answers were wrong but together we got 3/4 of answers right.

How many questions were there for the exam

  Correct answers by A = 2x/3
  Correct answers by B= x-5
  As per given condition
  
  (x-5)+ 2x/3 = 2*3x/4
  
  solving it, we get x=30

  both A and B got 3/4 answers coorect i.e they got /4 wrong
  A+B=1/4
  1/3+B=1/4
  B=1/12
  1/12(x)=5
  x=60.
  answer is 60

• for a no of questions be x
  for b no of questions be y
  only wrong questions be
  x/3+5=(x+y)/4
  if x and y are same, then
  x/3+5=x/2
  x=30
  if x and y are not same
  2x/3+(y-5)=3(x+y)/4
  from above we get 2 equations
