- If he takes 5 mins to go to first coach and 5 mins to come back and train travelled 5 miles in those 10 mins, then speed of train = 5*60/10= 30 mph

- @ Vignesh,
If he has taken same time ( 5 mins) to come back from front coach to last coach, then total time taken will be 10 mins which the train took to travel 5 miles.
then speed of train = 5*60/10 = 30 mph
You can choose any answer as per your interpretation as you have not specified the time for coming back. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(0)
- Distance travelled by train in 5 mins = 5 miles
distance travelled in 1 hr = 5*60/5= 60 miles
so speed = 60 mph - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(3)

- mr pargat pal singh we have to convert miles in to kms and then calculate the speed.so 5miles=5*1.6=8kms,s=8*60/10=48km/h
