exam Maths Puzzle Numerical Ability

let me see if I have this correct?
7x-5+3x=6+x-10
7x+3x-5=x+6-10
10x-5=x-4
(10x-5)+(5-x)=(x-4)+(5-x)
(10x-5)+(-x+5)=(-x-4)+(-x+5)
So would -4 be the solution to the equation?

Thank you, Barb Neely
