A triangle is made from a rope. The sides of the triangle are 25 cm, 11 cm and 31 cm. What will be the area of the square made from the same rope?
Read Solution (Total 15)

- Since total length of the rope remains constant, both the perimeters of square and triangle are same. Perimeter of triangle=25+11+31=67. Perimeter of square= 4a=67. "a" is the length of the side. So a = 67/4= 16.75. Area =a2= 280.56

- both the perimeters are same
so perimeter of triangle=25+11+31=67
now for square perimeter is 4*a
so 4a=67, a=16.75
area=a^2=280.5625 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(18) No(2)
- (25+11+31/4)=16.75.
area of square=(16.75)^2=280.56 sq.cm - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(4)
- length of the rope=25+11+31=67cm,
side of the square=67/4=16.75cm,
Area of the square=(side of the square)^2=16.75^2 = 280.5625 cm^2 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- yes suchandra raavi is right
area of a triangle=l+b+h
- 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(9)
- length of rope=25+11+31
=67
square has 4 sides.
so each side=67/4
=16.75
area=(16.75)^2
=280.56
ans:280.56

- 4a=25+11+31
a=67/4
so area = (67/4)^2 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)

- Solution: perimeter of triangle = 25+11+31 = 67
Perimeter of square = 4a =67
Hence a = 67/4 = 16.75
Area of square = a2 = 16.75 * 16.75 = 280.562

- The length of the rope = 11+31+25 = 67 cm
Divide the length by 4 to find the length
of a side of a square made with the rope.
side = 67/4
--
Then area of the square would be (67/4)^2 = 280.56 sq. cm - 10 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- p=25+11+31/2=side of square
area=side^2 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- 25+11+31=67
a=67/4
a=16.75
area=a^2=280.5625 - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- The longest "side" must be the hypotenuse.
So the legs are 25 and 11
---
Area = (1/2)*11*25 = 137.5 sq. cm.
==================================
The length of the rope = 11+31+25 = 67 cm
