Maths Puzzle
A and B starting from x and y simultaneously, heading for y, x respectively. The
ratio of their speeds is 2:1. If each one does 6 return trips (if A return trip is x to y; y to x) how many times would they met each other?
Read Solution (Total 1)
-
- 9 times.
when A completes one return trip, it meets B twice and they are at same point (x) now.
when A completes second trip, it meets B once while on return journey from y to x.then A at x and B at y .... Starting positions.
so for every 2 return trips of A, they meet 3 times.
For 6 return trips of A, they will meet 3*3=9 times. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
