A lady has fine gloves and hats in her closet- 14 blue, 20 red, and 18 yellow. The lights are out and it is totally dark. In spite of the darkness, she can make out the difference between a hat and a glove. She takes out an item out of the closet only if she is sure that if it is a glove. How many gloves must she take out to make sure she has a pair of each color?

- According to the question let us consider 14 blue,20 red & 18 yellow gloves are there.so she has to take out only 20 gloves for a pair of red.after that if she takes out (20+18)=38 gloves,she will be sure that there is a pair of red & yellow.And after having 38 gloves if she takes out only two gloves among the other,it make her to sure that remaining a pair of blue gloves are there.so ans will be the (38+2)=40.

- If she takes out (20+18)=38 gloves,she will be sure that there is a pair of red & yellow. Then after having 38 gloves she add 2 gloves more to have completed all the required pair of each colour.
