What is the maximum value of x, in the equation 2x+y=42,if y>x

• x will have max value when y will have least possible value which can be a little greater than x as y>x.
  
  when x=y , then
  2x+y=3x = 42
  x=14.
  
  x will have max value just less than 14 say 13.99999999.........9

  2(13.999999)+14.000002 = 42
