If 830 is divided into three parts such that 4 times the first part is equal to 5 times the second and 7 times the third, then the first part is?

  Let the parts are X, Y and Z
  as per the question,
  4X=5Y=7Z=k (assume 4x,5y,7z is equal to k, where k is a constant)
  Now X=k/4
  Y=k/5
  Z=k/7
  since X+Y+Z=830
  therefore k/4+k/5+k/7=830
  k=1400
  Now X=1400/4=350

  4x=5y=7z= p (say)
  x=p/4
  y=p/5
  z=p/7
  as per condition
  x+y+z=830
  putting values of x,y,z and solving for p, we get
  p=1400
