Places A and B are 100 Km apart.One car from A and another from B starts simultaneously.If cars travels in same direction at different speed,they meet in 5 hours.If they travels towards each other,they meet in 1 hour.What are the speeds of two cars?

  Let the speed of two cars be S1 & S2
  From given condition that, If they travels towards each other,they meet in 1 hour
  S1+S2 = 100 Km/hr ->1
  From other condition, If cars travels in same direction at different speed,they meet in 5 hours
  S2*5 = (S1*5)-100 -> 2 (as Car1 need to travel 100 Km more than Car2 in 5 hours)
  
  From 1, S2 = 100-S1
  Substituting in 2, (100-S1)*5 = (S1*5)-100
  => 500 - 5S1 = 5S1 -100
  => 600 = 10S1
  => S1 = 60 Km/hr
  Hence S2 = 100-60 = 40 Km/hr
