Simplify
1. 2+3*5^2-7
2. 6+3[(12/4)+5]
3. (4/2)+4(5-2)^2
4. -8-81/9*2^2+7
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM VALUE OF y=-x^2+6x?
This is a quadratic with a=-1 and b=6
The maximum point occurs when x=-b/(2a)
x=-6/(-2)=3
When x=3, y= -3^2+6(3)=9
Maximum at (3,9)
