Anoop managed to draw 5 cricle of equal radii with their centres on the diagonal of a square such that the two extreme circles touch two sides of the square and each middle circle touches two circles on either side. Find the ratio of the side of the square to radius of the circles. you may assume that square root of 2 is 1.4

Solution
Let the radius of circle be r
let the side of square be a
then diagonal of square= a*sqrt(2)
This diagonal length = 8*r + 2r * sqrt(2)
(because the extreme circle's radius is perpendicular to side of square.)
Thus we get

8*r+2r*sqrt(2)=a*sqrt(2)

r(4*sqrt(2)+2)=a
so a/r=(4*sqrt(2)+2)/1
Thus ratio: a:r =(4*sqrt(2)+2)/1
= 7.6
Ans: 7.6

The pace length P is the distance between the rear of two consecutive footprints. For men the formula, n/P=125 gives approximate relationship between n and P where,n=number of steps per minute and P=pacelength in meters. Bernard knows his pace length is 161cm. The formula applies to Bernard's walking. Calculate Bernard's walking speed in kmph?

Solution
n/P = 125 gives an approximate relationship between n and P where, n = number of steps per minute and P = pacelength in meters. Bernard knows his pacelength is 161cm.
Number of steps in one minute = 125*1.61
Distance travelled in 1 minute = 125*1.61*1.61 mtrs
Distance travelled in one hr = 125*1.61*1.61*60/1000 km = 19.44 km approx
This is the detailed form of the answer given by MANAS RANJAN PANDA and is correct

14 people meet and shake hands. The maximum number of handshakes possible if there is no cycle of handshakes is
(A cycle of handshakes is a sequence of people a1,a2,...,ak, k>2 such that the pairs {a1,a2},{a2,a3},{a(k-1),ak},{ak, a1} shake hands.)

Solution
In random manner maximum number of handshakes = 14*13/2*1 = 91
if persons are arranged in a straight line then no of handshakes = 14-1 = 13
