Look upon the series carefully
2,8,24,64,160,......

8 - 2 = 6
6 * 4 = 24

24 - 8 = 16
16 * 4 = 64

64 - 24 = 40
40 * 4 = 160

now last two number
160 - 64 = 96
96 * 4 = 384
so Next number of the sequence is 384

Another Method can be
Given series
2,8,24,64,160,.....
2 = 2
2 * 2 * 2 = 8
2 * 2 * 2 * 3 = 24
2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 4 = 64
2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 = 160

it is following a sequence as 2*3, 4*4, 8*5, 16*6,..
so x would be 32*7
adding x to 160 results in 384...so option 8 is right answer..
