Solution

We should cut the square of dimension one third from the corner to make a cube, so volume = 1000/27 cm^3

If 10cm square is cut to form a cube then length of each side of the cube is 10/3 cm. Then volume is 1000/27 cc.therefore answer is option 4

To make the square, we should cut it at a length of 10/3 cm.
So, the side of the cube becomes 10/3 cm.

to make a cubic tank one must get a "+" structure with paper of equal sides..so we need to divide the 10cm into 3 parts both vertically and hoizontally...10/3 is the length of each side..volume of that cube is (10/3)^3=(1000/27)

We need to divide the side by 3, then we get 10/3. The square to be cut must have side 10/3 cm. The remaining paper can then be folded to form a tank and its side if of length 10/3 cm. So the volume of the tank is (10/3)^3= 1000/27 cm^3
