numbers formed with the integers of the number is 3!/2!. the 2!in the denominator is because of repetition of 2 7's . then in order to find the sum of the numbers first form the number that starts with 1 in units place=3!/2!.
similarly with the remaining numbers we can form like this. then the sum of the value of the numbers in units place is given by 3!/2!(1+9+7+7).and similarly with the numbers in the tens place it is 3!/2!(10+90+70+70). and it goes like this 3!/2!(100+900+700+700),3!/2!(1000+9000+7000+7000).which gives the total as 79992

We have 3 different numbers i.e., 1,9,7. By fixing 1 in the first place we can form 3 numbers(1977,1797,1779). By fixing 9 in first place we can form 3 numbers(9177,9717,9771). By fixing 7 in first place we can form 6 numbers(7197,7917,7719,7791,7179,7971).. Sum of all these numbers gives result as 79992
