36 + (3+6) = 36 + 9 = 45

Half of the sum of the digits of the number, and sum of the digits number, alternately are added to the number to get the next number.

14 + (1+4)/2 = 16.5,
16.5 + (1+6+5) = 28.5,
28.5 + (2+8+5)/2 = 36,
36 + (3+6) = 45,
45 + (4+5)/2 = 49.5

For 1st 2 two numbers add all the digits and divide it by two and add it in 1st no and for next two nos only add digits and add it in previous no. Follow this rule for next nos.
14+((1+4)/2)=16.5
16.5+(1+6+5)=28.5

45+((4+5)/2)=49.5
