Consider the combinations of 21+29 or 22+28 or 23+27 or 24+26 or 25+25 or29+21 or 28+22 or 27+23 or 26+24 for apples and grapes respectively as 1kg of apple+grapes=rs.50
For Rs.29/kg apple and Rs.21/kg of grapes, if 5kg apples and 7kg grapes are purchased then the total price will be 292

5kg A + 5 kg G = 5*50 =250
The cost 1kg grape lies between 20-30
We need 2 more kg grapes =so the cost lies between 42-58
On adding 42 to 250 the first and last digits same.
Hence the answer 250+42=292

The possible combination of Apple's and Grapes price are (20,30),(21,29)...(30,20).
Since cost of 1kg apple and 1kg grapes is 50 . So cost of 5kg apple and 5kg grapes is 250 . Now for the cost of 5kg apple and 7 kg grapes we have to add only cost of 2 kg of grapes into it. Therefor 250+40

so, by this.. sum of cost of 5kg apple and 5 kg grapes is = 50*5=250 rs.
we have to calculate sum of cost of 5kg apple and 7 kg grapes which is = number X
5kg apple cost + 5 kg grapes cost =250 rs.
we have to calculate 2 kg grapes cost too.
cost of 1kg grapes is between 20 and 30.(given)
lets check that cost of 1 kg grapes is 21rs.
then cost of 2kg grapes=21*2=42rs.
sum of cost of 5kg apple+7 kg grapes= 250+42=292rs.
by this , number X=292 , in which unit digit equal too hundreds digit. it satisfies the condition .
hence it is correct.

given x+y=50
5(x+y)=250

now we need to add cost of 2 kg of grapes too in 250
minimum price can be 40 (20 each)

and we need to keep unit and hundred digit same
so
cost of 2 kg of grapes will be 42 hence
total cost of 5 kg apple and 7 kg grapes will be 250+42=292 rs
and cost of apple and grapes will be 29 &21 rs/kg.
