Solution

Since half (1/2) filled car engine holds 15 ltrs of petrol
we can write it as
15 liters is contained in 1/2 as fraction
so 1 liter will be contained in 1/30 as fraction
hence 18 liters will be contained in 18/30 . i.e 3/5 as a fraction .

Here we will use unitary method...
so 1 litre contain (1/2)/15=1/30 part of the total.
Similarly 18 litres contain the part of the total=18×1/30=3/5 Ans
