Let the money lent at 12.5% be x
Then, money at 12.5% = 2500-x
=> x*12*1/100 + (2500-x) * 25/2 * 1/100 = 306
or
24x + 25(2500-x) = 61200
or x = 62500 - 61200 = 1300

let the amount lent out on 12% be x then,
the amount lent out on 12.5% be (2500-x)
therefore,
12x/100+(2500-x)*12.5/100 = 306
12x+31250-12.5x = 30600
0.5x = 31250-30600
0.5x = 650
=> x = 6500/5 = 1300
therefore, the amount lent out on 12% is 1300.

so as we know si=(p*r*t)/100
then
(x*12*1)/100+((2500-x)*12.5*1)/100=306
On solving this equation we get x=1300
So the amount for 12% is Rs.1300

let the r.o.i on x is 12 and the r.o.i on 2500-x is 12.5.
(x*12*1)/100+((2500-x)*12.5*1)/100=306.
on solving we get 1300 for the value of x which is the r.o.i of 12%.

Very simple,
Let the money lent on 12? is Rs.x.
Then according to the question,
(x*12*1)/100 +((2500-x)*12.5*1)/100=306
if we solve the above expression
then we will get x=Rs.1300 Ans
Hence option (3) is the right answer.
