In a certain code if BLUE is coded as 160, GREEN as 245, then how would YELLOW be coded?

Solution

When letters from A to Z are numbered from 1 to 26 respectively, the coded number is product of Sum of the numbers associated with letters and number of letters.
B L U E = (2 + 12 + 21 + 5) x 4 = 160
G R E E N = (7 + 18 + 5 + 5 + 14) x 5 = 245
Y E L L O W = (25 + 5 + 12 + 12 + 15 + 23) x 6 = 552

Alphabet stands for numbers from 1 to 26
BLUE=(2+12+21+5)4=40*4=160
GREEN=(7+18+5+5+14)5=245
YELLOW=(25+5+12+12+15+23)6=552

Assign each alphabet with its number of position in A-Z
Word = (Sum of positions) * (Number of letters)

BLUE = (2 + 12 + 21 + 5) * 4 = 160
GREEN = (7 + 18 + 5 +5 +14) * 5 = 245
YELLOW = (25 + 5 + 12 + 12 + 15 + 23) * 6 = 552
