Solution

A man and a boy do a piece of work in 8 days
since 1 man is equivalent to 2 boys
so 3 boys do that work in 8 days
so 1 boy will do that work in 8*3 = 24 days
so 2 man and 4 boys equal to 8 boys will do that work in 24/8 = 3 days
