given that b will be common in both cases,so take the common factor which suits best for the given conditions.it will be 24 which b alone can do the work.then
1/a+1/24=1/12 -->1/a=1/24,so that a and b alone do the work in same no of days.
let find c: 1/24+1/c=1/20 -->1/c=1/120,which is c one day work,
:for 4 days the completed work is 1/a+1/b+1/c=4*(11/120).
remaining work left is 76/120,,which should be completed by a and b together,
