or we can do this by simply calculating SI for x years on the difference between the two principles.
like
(150*4*x)/100 = 30
x=5

Q: what will be the simple interest on rs 8000 for 2 years at the rate of rs 0.1 per rs 1000 per month?

a) 18.50 b) 20.30 c) 19.50 d) 19.20
Reply Like? Yes | No
Devendra Marghade   10 years ago
d) 19.20

Simple Interest on 8000=8 times the interest on 1000 for 24 months @ 0.1/month=8*24*0.1=19.2

Narendra Dhaker   10 years ago
as per question:
Rs 1000 will give an interest of Rs 0.1 for 1 month.
Rs 1 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs 0.1/1000*100= .01 for 1 month.
Rs 100 will give an interest of Rs .01*12= .12 for 12 month.

so interest rate is .12 %

Now simple interest on rs 8000 for 2 years: 8000*.12* 2 /100 =19.2

If you get the solution then Please mark answer as Best Solution at end of the solution !!!!
Thank you

Area of square
=52 857/2116 m2
=52.405
Cost of fencing the field per m=Rs.9.20
Cost of fencing the field 52.405 m2 = 9.20 * 52.405
= Rs. 482.126

Q: A sum becomes 6 fold at 5 % per annum. At what rate the sum becomes 12 fold ?

a) 9 % b) 10 c) 11 d) 12
Reply Like? Yes (13) | No (1)
Devendra Marghade   10 years ago
c) 11

For the sum to become 6 fold, its interest should be 5 times the sum. So if sum=x & period=t, then
Calculating simple interest, x *t*5/100 = 5x, t=100
Now for the sum to become 12 fold for t=100 & rate=r,
x*100*r/100=11x, r=11

Q: A is twice as fast as B and B is thrice as fast as C. The journey covered by C in 56 min will be coverd by A in? I NEED COMPLETE SOLUTION PLS HELP ME

a) 5 1/3 min b) 2 1/3 c) 7 1/3 d) 9 1/3
Reply Like? Yes (2) | No
Devendra Marghade   10 years ago
d) 9 1/3

If A, B & C are the time taken to cover the journey, then
Time taken by B=C/3, As A is twice as fast as B, Time taken by A=B/2=C/6
So for the journey time of 56 min. of C, A will take 56/6= 9 1/3 min.

Either tea or coffee=30-5=25
