Q: Ravi works as a casheir in a bank. he has currency of denominations 100rs, 50rs, 10rs respectively. The ratio of number of these notes is 3:5:6. Total cash with ravi is 12200. How many notes of 50rs denomination does he has? I NEED COMPLETE SOLUTION PLS HELP ME

Devendra Marghade   10 years ago
Ans. 100

If 3x, 5x, 6x numbers of notes of 100, 50 & 10 Rs. are there respectively,
[100*3x] + [50*5x] + [10*6x] =12200
610x= 12200
x=20
So number of Rs. 50 note=5*20= 100

Q: A motor boat whose speed is 15km/hr in still water goes 30km downstream and comes back in a total 4hr 30min. The speed of the stream is in km/hr? I NEED COMPLETE SOLUTION PLS HELP ME

a) 4 b) 5 c) 6 d) 10

VanajaDevi   10 years ago
Speed in still water 15km/hr,so
Consider speed of stream xkm/hr
then downstream=15+x, Upstream=15-x
total distance(dowmstream+upstream)=30km&total time 4hrs30min to cover downstream and upstream so,
30km/(15+x)km/hr+30km/(15-x)km/hr=4.30(OR)9/2
by solving we get x=5
Like? Yes (3) | No
manas sachan   10 years ago
ans=5
let sp of stream be x
time during downstream,t1=30/(15+x)
time during against downstream,t2=30/(15-x)
t1+t2=4hr 30 min
calc it,x=5

Q: A and B are working on a assignment. A take 6 hrs to type 32pages on a computer,while B takes 5hrs to type 40pages.How much time will they take working together on two different computers to type assignment of 110pages? I NEED COMPLETE SOLUTION PLS HELP ME

a) 5:15 b) 4:30 c) 8:15 d) 7:45

c) 8:15

A & B will type (32/6)+(40/5)=40/3 pages in 1 hour.
So time(in hours) to type 110 pages= 110/(40/3) =33/4 =8.25 hrs. or 8 Hr. 15 min.

Like? Yes (2) | No
Jeyadev    10 years ago
It is a square garden so length on all sides is equal.
between tree and wall distance=1 m
so on both sides it will be 2*1m= 2m;
now btw each tree 2 m... total 10 trees ,so 9 gaps hence 9*2 m= 18 m.
totalling 18+2=20 m

Q: The number of students in each section of a school is 24. After admitting new students three new sections were started. Now the total number of sections is 16 and there are 21 students in each section. The number of new students admitted is? I NEED COMPLETE SOLUTION PLS HELP ME
Reply Like? Yes (26) | No (7)
Nithiya   10 years ago
before joining the new stds, total no of section would be 13
total no.of stds is 13*21=312
after admitting few std,total no of section is 16
now the total would be 16*21=436
so,no of new comers is 436-312=124

number of new students admitted is = 24

Anish.    10 years ago
Per section before joining= 24
No. Of sections before joining = 13
Then total no. Of students before joining = 24*13=312
No. Of sections added after joining = 13+3=16
No. Of students per section after joining = 21
Then total no. Of students after joining= 16 * 21=336
So, total no. Of students joined = 336-312=24

bro i think the last term of the question is incorrect
i hv explained it as follows:
9=(9*2^0)+(2^1-(2+0))
19=(9*2^1)+(2^2-(2+1))
40=(9*2^2)+(2^3-(2+2))
83=(9*2^3)+(2^4-(2+3)) & so on
so its n term will be
n=(9*2^(n-1))+(2^n-(2+(n-1)))
