consider x as an initial price...........then accordingly...........x*(120/100)*(130/100)=78 on solving for x we will get the answer 50 that means option "b" is correct.

50 because by supposing from option and apply this
50+ 20% of 50 =60

let numbers x, x+2 , x+4 be three consecutive odd numbers.
3x=2(x+4)-3
x=5
so, c=5+4=9.

Nos are a,b=a+2,c=a+4
3a=2c-3=> 3a+3=2a+8=> a=5
So b=7,c=9

Let 2n-1,2n+1,2n+3 are the consecutive odd numbers
3(2n-1)=2(2n+3)-3
2n=6
so, n=3
so C=2n+3 = 9

b: Rs 828

Selling Price to earn 20% profit= (120/100)*(Cost Price+Storage cost)
=(120/100)*[600 + 600*(15/100)]
=828

a: 1800
b: 2100
c: 2000
d: 2200

Let x be the total number of students
Using Venn diagram we can find out that (28+20+12)% = 60% is the percentage of students who are failed in at least one subject so 40% are the students who passed in both subjects
so 40% of x = 840
on solving it we get , x = 2100

minimum fraction to be added is 57/80
Like? Yes | No
Devendra Marghade   7 years ago
b: 57/80

(11/16) + (12/20)=(55+48)/80=103/80
If numerator becomes 160 the fraction will give a complete number, so (160-103)/80=57/80 is a minimum fraction to be added.
