A sum of money is sufficient to pay A's wages for 18 days and B's wages for 27 days. Then for how much days , the money is sufficient to pay the wages of both ?
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- 10.8 days
We take LCM for both 18 and 27. The LCM will be 54
Let us assume that Rs.54 is to be paid as wages.
For A one day wages will be 18/54=Rs.3
For B one day wages will be 27/54=Rs.2
One day wages for both A and B will be Rs.2+Rs.3=Rs.5
Therefore total number of days we can pay for both A and B from Rs.54 will be 54/5=10.8 days - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(3)
- 10 days 8 hours ans.
sol:-
A's 1 day's wages=1/18
B's 1 day's wages=1/27
now,(A+B)'s 1 day's wages=1/18+1/27=5/54
hence, the money is sufficient to pay the wages of both for 54/5(10.8) days.
