Two varieties of rice are mixed in the ratio 2 : 3 and sold at Rs. 22 per Kg, resulting in a profit of 10%. If the cost of the smaller quantity be Rs. 14 per kg, then what is the cost of the larger quantity(per kg )?
Read Solution (Total 2)
-
- Rs 24/- per kg
SP mof mixture = Rs 22 per kg @ profit of 10%
CP of mixture = Rs 20.
If y is price per kg of rice of larger quantity, and mixed quantities are 2x and 3x, then
By alligation method
3x= 6 and x= 2
then y -20 =2x
or y=2x+20 = 4+20= 24 Rs. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)
- let mixed quantities r 2x and 3x,
then cp=5x*22*100/110=100x
now let cost of larger quantity is t'
then cp=100x=14*2x+t*3x
after solving it t=24Rs
