so speed upstream=x-y speed downstream=x+y
=>10/x+y=3..............(1)
same distance upstream so 10/x-y=6........(2)
=>3x+3y=10
6x-6y=10
solving d above 2 xpression we get x=5/2 or x=2.5(speed of the boat)
