  now, x + y = 36
  x^2 - y^2=144
  (x+y)(x-y)=144

  Let one side be 'x'
  Thus, other side i.e. hypotenuse side is (36-x)
  
  Now applying pythagoras theorem:
  
  (36-x)^2 = x^2 + 12^2
