1. There are 5 wheels (4 normal and 1 spare tyre). All the 5 wheels are used equally. The car travelled total distance of 40,000km. What was the distance travelled by each tyre?a.10,000 b.32,000 c.8000 d. 40,000
Read Solution (Total 10)

- 32000
4*40000=160000
160000/5=32000 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(25) No(3)
- there are 5c4 ways of using Tyres let a,b,c,d,e are tyres.. abcd, abde, abce, bcde, acde
car can travel 8000km with each combination
every Tyre repeats 4 times
therefore 4x8000=32000 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(16) No(0)
- ans: 32000.
- 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(3)
- total distance travelled by 4tyres = 40000 x 4 =160000
as it is acccording to question each tyre runs equally so 160000/5 =32000km is the correct answer. however using 5 tyres at a time its an impossible event to use all the 5 tyres travel equal distance - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- it cannot be options a, c or d because the answer has to lie between 10000 and 40000

- 40,000/5=8000.
8000*3=32000
so ans is 32000 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(8)
- ans: 10,000
- 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(9)
- Sum of distance travelled by each tyre=40000*4=160000
Now,Sum should be equivalent for each tyre,so divide it by 5=160000/5=32000 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
