10. Two friends start travelling from A and B simultaneously towards each other with speeds 50 kmph and 60 kmph respectively. After meeting each other the second person travels a distance of 120 km more than that of the first person. What is the distance between A and B.?

• The relative speed between two members is 60-50 =10
  i.e per hour second travels 10kms more ,according to ques. he travels 120km more hence they travels for 12 hours. the total distance travelled by them is 12*50 + 12* 60 ==1320.

  dA/dB=50/60=5/6

  dA/dB=x/x+120
  after solving ...
  x=600
  y=720
  so
  total distance=x+y=1320

• They have traveled for equal time, so let us assume first one traveled d kms then second have traveled d+120 kms,
  d/50 = (d+120)/60
  On solving: d=600 kms
  d+d+120 = 1320 kms
