- You divide nine balls into 3,3,3. Weigh any of the set. If a set is found less weight, you can get the 3 balls. If they weigh same, you get get the 3 balls from 3rd set. Again same process in those final 3 balls. So total 2 times. Or simply get the total balls as the power of 3. The power will be the ans Its 3^2. 2 is ans.

NINE BALLS CAN BE SPLIT INTO 3 3 3. TAKE ANY 2 SETS AND WEIGH THEM. IF THEY BOTH ARE EQUAL THE THIRD SET HAS A LESS WEIGHT BALL. OTHERWISE ONE THE SELECTED WILL HAVE.
NOW TAKE THE SET WHICH HAS A LESS WEIGHT BALL. SPLIT IT INTO 1 1 1. WEIGH ANY TWO OF THEM. IN THE SAME WAY WE CAN FIND OF THESE THREE.
