- c.p of 1 lit milk = 6.4 rs
and he is making profit by adding some quantity of water and selling the mixture at c.p.
so we have to find the quantity of water nd milk in the mixture.
so pure milk will be of worth = 6.4 - 6.4*37.5/100 = 4 rs
so milk in 4 rs = 4*1/6.4 = .625 lit.
so the remaining part will be the water which is = 1-.625 = .375 lit
so the ratio of water to milk in the mixture is = .375 : .625 = 3:5 (answer) - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(15) No(4)
- c.p of 1lit of milk- rs 6.4
s.p of 1 lit of mix- rs 8.8
therefore ratio would be 2.4/6.4= 3:8 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(11) No(9)
- price of 1 lit milk is 6.4rs
after adding the water total price is 8.8rs(6.4*1.375)
now quantity of water will be calculated
so water is sold at price of milk
let we take quantity of water is x lit
we know
6.4 rs = 1 lit
(8.8-6.4)rs=2.4/6.4=.375 lit
so ratio of water to milk=375/1000
=3/8
