two vessels contain spirits of 0.5 and 0.75 concentrations.if two litres from the first vessel and three litres from the second vessel are mixed ,then what will be the ratio of the spirit and the water in the resultant solution ?

• concentration of spirit in solution= (2*.5+3*.75)/5
  = (1+2.25)/5
  = 3.25/5=.65
  water concentration= 1-.65=.35
  ratio = .65:.35 = 13:7

  water from A and B is (3+2) - 3.25 =1.75
  ratio = 3.25 : 1.75
  = 13:7

  or you can say the answer would be 5:8.
