The face of a clock is divided into three parts such that the total hours in the first part, is equal to the sum of the total hours in the other two parts. What is the total hours in the bigger part?

Sum of all the hours = 1 + 2 +3 + 4 +........ = 78
Half of that = 39
There are 2 possibilities
1) 4,5,6,7,8,9 2) 10,11,12,1,2,3

Then what is the amount lost by my friend in the second race? The average marks of 14 students was calculated as 71. But, it was discovered later that the marks of one student was taken as 42 instead of 56 and the marks of another student was wrongly taken as 74 while it was actually 32. If these corrections are now made then what is the average of the 14 students?
