Given Diameter =25 inches
Radius = 12.5 inches
Circumference = 2*pie*radius = 78.53 inches
Now radius has been decreased by 1/4 inche
New Radius = 12.25 inches
So New Circumference = 2*pie*radius = 76.96 inches
% Decrease in circumference = (78.53-76.96)/78.53*100 = 2%
So there is increase in number of revolutions by 2%.
