- I used backtrack method:-
Let us take t1-temple1, t2-temple2, t3-temple3, r1-river1, r2-river2, r3-river3 and x is the flowers put in temple.
He had nothing (zero) flowers after put flowers in t3.
Before he put flowers in t3 he had x flowers in his hand that is after crossing r3.
Before crossing r3 he had an only x/2 flower that is after put flowers in t2. Before he put flowers in t2 he had only (x+x/2) =3x/2 flowers in his hand that is after crossing r2.
Before crossing r2 he had an only 3x/4 flowers that is after put flowers in t1. Before he put flowers in t1 he had only (x+3x/4) =7x/4 flowers in his hand that is after crossing r1.
Before crossing r1 he had only 7x/8 flowers.
