There are a pack of cards numbered from 1 to 23 and two persons Ramesh and Suresh draws a card and put it back into the pack.if ramesh draws card first then suresh draws the card...
Then what will be probability that card drawn by
ramesh is greater in number than suresh.

Read Solution (Total 3)
-
- probability of ram picking up card no 23 = 1/23
similarly probability of ramesh picking up card no 22 = 1/23
and so on, after that if ramesh picks up card no 23 with prob 1/23 then his chance of winning after picking that card is 22/23 (because suresh can pick up any card with 22 cards smaller in number ) applying the same concept for all the cases we have req prob=1/23(22/23+21/23 +20/23 .............1/23)
11/23 (ANSWER) where 1/23 outside the bracket represent the probability of ram picking up any number and corresponding number in bracket represent his cahnce of winnning with that number
