e and a smaller circle is inscribed in it; if radius of quarter circle is 1.414units. Find the radius of smaller circle

• if r be radius of smaller circle then
  distance b/n centres = √2 * r
  
  so, r + r√2 = R here,R = 1.414 =√2
  => r=(√2 -1)R
