- Q. no 19 )
Answer should be D
as 1790 lies in the series of 4,6,12,14,20,28,30......
taking it as combination of two series ie ...... 4,12,20,28.... and 6,14,22,30...
using the concept of AP
1790= 6+ (n-1)*8
n=224
that is we get the integer value for n it means that 1790 must lie in the series of 6,14,22,30...
which in this represent nothing but D.

- 1.1030n-1 means base,n-1 is more than 3 again 444n+1 means base, n+1 is more than 4..
again 1030n-1 means the no is divisible by the base n-1 as in unit place it has 0
444n+1 means the no is not divisible by its base n+1
from options, 436 is divisible by 2 and 4 only again we can take base which is greater than 3 only for 1030n-1..so here we can take 4 only..again taking 4 as base 436 we will find 1030 =>n-1=4=>n=5
n+1=6 again taking base as 6 we gate 444 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)

- 20.let passed students be x and failed students be 36-x
sum of all students mrks=2556
sum of all passed students =78*x
sum of all failed students=60*(36-x)
so, 78x+60(36-x)=2556
therefore x=22
no.of failed students be 36-22=14
