.i just finished three marbles games and have twenty one marbles. In the first game ,I lost half my marbles. In the second game I won eleven times what I had at the end of first game. In the third game ,I won 9 marbles. How many marbles did I have when I started playing a)8 b)6 c)2 d)4

  after second game .... marbles left is x/2 + 11x/2
  after third game..... marbles left is x/2 + 11x/2 + 9
  
  now x/2 + 11x/2 + 9 =21

  x = 2

  after first game no of marbles=x/2
  after second game no of marbles=x/2+11*x/2=6x
  after 3rd game no of marble=6x+9=21
  6x+9=21
  x=2
