The old man takes 30 minutes to reach office and young man take 20 minutes to reach the office . If old man starts at 10:00 a.m for office and the young man at 10:05 a.m then at what time will they meet?

  vo*t = 15*vo
  so, t=15 mints
  now we can say that they will meet at 10:15 am

  speed of young man=s2=d/20
  suppose they meet after x min(after 10:00 am)
  so the distance covered by old man in x min and dstnc coverd by young man in x-5 min is equal
  so d/30*x=(x-5)*d/20
  x=15
  so the ans is 15 min

  solving it t=10 min

  2x* t = 3x*(t-5)
  2xt = 3xt -15x

  X=(10/30)*30 = 10 k.m X=(10/20)*30 = 15 k.m
  but we know old man starts 5 min early i.e at 10 am while young man at 10:05 am
  in 5 min old man covers 5 k.m..
  finally 10:15 old man covers 15 k.m
  10;15 young man covers 15 k.m hence they meet each other

  when rain runs 1000 m shakil runs=2000-d*6 ...eq 2;
  eq 1/eq 2;
  
  2000/1000=(1800-d*1)/(2000-d*6);
  d=200 m/min;
  time taken by shakil =2000/200=10 min;
