Read Solution (Total 3)

- let income is 100 rs.
he spends 70rs.
income increase 15 % so it becomes 115.
spending decrease by 5 % then it becomes 65 % .
65% of 115 is 74.75.
then his saving is 115-74.75=40.25
so saving is = ( 40.25-30)*100/30=34.166% - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- 34.166%
If initial income=x, then saving with 70% spending=x- 0.7x=0.3x
With 15% increase in income, new income=x*115/100=1.15x and
New saving with 5% decrease in expenditure(i.e. 65%) =1.15x - 1.15x*65/100=0.4025x
So % change in saving=(0.4025x - 0.3x)*100/0.3x=10.25x/0.3x=102.5/3=34.166 - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- in 100% he spends 70% + income increses 15% + total 115%+and decreases 5% = 115%-5 %=110%
and total 110%- 70%=40%
his savings was= 40% only - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
