In a queue, Shekhar is ninth from the rear end. Arun's place is eighth from the front. Nikhil is standing between the two. What could be the minimum numbers of boys standing in the queue?

Now, Shekhar and Nikhil should be either at 6 and 7 or at 9 and 10 respectively for nikhil to be positioned in the middle.
Since it has been asked for minimum number of boys, so Nikhil's place should be before Arun to minimize the total number.
Now for Shekhar to be on the nineth position from the rear end and also for Nikhil to be in the middle, the total number of boys should be 14 and Shekhar's should be placed at 6th position from the beginning.
