LCM and HCF
In a party men drink only beer, women drink only wine , sons drink only orange juice and daughters drink only apple juice. There are 1.05L of beers, 1.05L of wine 3.5L of orange juice and 4.9L of apple juice. If every one has the same drinking capacity then what can be the minimum number of people present at the party?
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- Take HCF of 1.05,1.05,3.5,4.9.
which is 0.35.
Then divide each quantity by HCF to get the number people drinking that particular beverage.
i.e 3+3+10+14=30.

- HCF of two or more fraction is -------->HCF of Numerator/LCM of Denominator
so, 105/100, 105/100, 35/10, 49/10
Take the HCF of 105, 105, 35, 49 = 7 & LCM of 100, 100, 10, 10 = 100
so, the HCF is 0.07
and the no of people present in the party is 15+15+50+70 = 150. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(13) No(1)
