- Though the question seems too tricky and i can't ensure you of the correctness of my answer. But what I tried is that I am posting here.
As we Know A=1, B=2, C=3........Z=26

In the above case all the letters are changed as A+2 = C, C+2=E....
P O N T I F F -----> H H K P O R V
In this, the letters are first coverted as
F F I T N O P....
Then see....F+2 = H, K+2 = N.....
L I M E R I C K -----> E G K K M N O T
the confusion comes in this and the later one.
Here, What I did ,
I took E G K K M N O T
and then subtracted 2 from all...
E - 2 = C
G - 2 = E
K - 2 = I
K - 2 = I
M - 2 = K
N - 2 = L
O - 2 = M
T - 2 = R
It means E G K K M N O T ------> C E I I K L M R
